Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal has praised the Roshan Pakistan Programme that was launched by the ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran khan.

The Roshan Pakistan Programme was started by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, Prime Minister Imran to attract Pakistani people that are living abroad and inflows of greenbacks into Pakistan.
Addressing an event at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington, Ahsan Iqbal said that Roshan Pakistan Programme was launched by the PTI government, 2 years back, which proved to be significant for Pakistan and the Pakistani people.

Projects that are launched for the betterment of Pakistan ought to continue despite the modification of the state, Ahsan Iqbal also told.
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) with the help of eight major banks within the country is maintaining the project under that the Pakistani people living in abroad are ready to avail of the banking facility from a digital payment system and also the customers can open their bank accounts without going to a bank, embassy, or diplomatic building.
Under the scheme, the Pakistanis living in abroad can operate their accounts while not visiting the country and also avail facilities of direct banking, bill payment, and other e-commerce facilities.
These accounts are used for investments in the stock exchange and property in Pakistan. The customers even have the choice to either open a Pakistan rupee or foreign currency account.
What is Roshan Digital Account?
It is an accounting system that was made by the previous government in which the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) with the help of eight major banks within the country can lead the project in which Pakistani people that are living abroad are ready to avail the banking facility from a digital payment system and also the customers can open their bank accounts while not visiting the bank, embassy or diplomatic building.

Under the initiative, the Pakistanis living abroad would be ready to operate their accounts while not visiting the country and will avail facilities of direct banking, bill payment and different e-commerce facilities.
These accounts may even be used for investments within the stock market and property in Pakistan. The customers would even have the choice to either open a Pakistan rupee or foreign currency account.
