Imran Khan, a former Pakistani prime minister and the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claimed on Sunday that the audio clip that was released indicated that Maryam Nawaz, the vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), also earned unlawful income.

Imran Khan:

Imran Khan claimed, while speaking to a crowd in Karak, “Maryam Nawaz is ordering the government to perform unlawful acts. The leaked tape makes it abundantly evident that her son-in-law has also amassed wealth [illegally].”

According to The Express Tribune, he also claimed that Maryam Nawaz’s worst “flaw” is her inability to tell the truth.

This remark was made in response to the two audio clips featuring Shehbaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Asif, Azam Tarar, Maryam Nawaz, and former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq going viral.

The government official is informed in the video by a voice purported to be that of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that Maryam Nawaz is trying to import equipment from India for a power plant at Raheel’s request.

The second audio tape, which was leaked on Sunday, is supposedly between the federal cabinet and London, where the decision to accept or reject PTI members’ resignations was made.

The voice can also be heard belittling Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, who has previously come in for a lot of flak for some of his contentious choices about the nation’s economic position.

The alleged conversation involved PM Shehbaz, former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq, interior minister Rana Sanaullah, defense minister Khawaja Asif, and law minister Azam Tarar.

In the third video, a voice claiming to be Maryam Nawaz is heard assuring Shehbaz that she appreciates her support and that someone has been keeping news out of the public eye as per her request.

The voice is also heard belittling Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, who has already come under fire for a number of his contentious choices about the nation’s economic position.

He declared in front of a large crowd in Karak that the current government’s goal in gaining power was to take NROs rather than to reduce inflation or advance development.

According to Imran, Maryam Nawaz’s worst flaw is her inability to tell the truth. “Maryam Nawaz is forcing the government to carry out unlawful acts.

The leaked tape makes it abundantly evident that her son-in-law has also amassed wealth [illegally],” he continued.

The former prime minister claimed that while the PTI government had halted trade with India, the present administration has resumed it.

He added that the nation needed to battle against the “thieves” and that the country’s current leaders were imposed upon it as a result of a foreign conspiracy.

“It is better to die than be a slave to these crooks, who simply seek power to enrich themselves.”

Imran slammed the ruling PML-N, claiming that Nawaz Sharif’s sons reside in homes worth billions Pakistani rupees, which even the British prime minister cannot afford.

“Hassan Sharif lives in a house worth Rs. 10 billion, and when questioned where he obtained the money, he claims he is not a citizen of Pakistan and won’t answer,” he continued.

He claimed that Pakistan has been dependent on aid for the past 40 years and added that Bangladesh and both India have left us behind.

Responding to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, he stated that Imran Khan preferred appointing the army chief on the basis of merit rather than his personal preference.
